Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the endogenous tuftsin fragment, supplied in lyophilized powder form for controlled laboratory research.

SKU: N/A Category:

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro (TKPRPGP). It is built on tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), a tetrapeptide fragment of the immunoglobulin G heavy chain, extended at the C-terminus with the same Pro-Gly-Pro motif used in Semax to increase resistance to enzymatic cleavage.

With three prolines, a lysine and an arginine, Selank is basic and highly water-soluble, and its proline content gives it cis/trans isomerism that can broaden or split HPLC peaks. In the laboratory it is used in in vitro biochemical and cell-culture assays and as a model for studying peptidase stability of tuftsin analogs. M-Rogue Research supplies Selank as a lyophilized powder in a 10mg vial, shipped from our California warehouse.

Third-Party Testing & Verification

A third-party certificate of analysis for Selank 10mg is coming soon. When it is issued, it will be posted on our Certificates of Analysis page alongside the COAs for our other products.

Until that COA is posted, this page does not state a purity figure for Selank. We publish purity and net-content values only when they are shown on a third-party certificate for the lot being supplied. If your work requires lot documentation before ordering, contact us through the contact page and we will let you know when the COA is available.

Storage & Reconstitution Guidelines

Selank 10mg is supplied as a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed vial. In this form the peptide is considerably more stable than in solution, but it is still sensitive to moisture, heat and light. On receipt, store the unopened vial at -20°C, protected from light, in a dry container. Short periods at room temperature during transit are normal for lyophilized material.

Before opening, allow the vial to reach room temperature (typically 15–30 minutes) so that atmospheric moisture does not condense on the cold powder. Reconstitute with a solvent appropriate to your assay, such as sterile water or a suitable buffer; some sequences dissolve more readily in a small volume of dilute acetic acid or DMSO before dilution. Add solvent slowly down the vial wall and swirl gently rather than shaking or vortexing.

Once in solution, divide the material into single-use aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store aliquots at -20°C (or -80°C for longer periods) and keep solutions in use at 2–8°C for short periods only. Record the lot number, solvent, concentration and date on every aliquot. For a full walkthrough, see our guide on lyophilized peptide handling, reconstitution and storage.
